Drinking Enough Water?

Everyone in the health and fitness industry says to drink a lot of water. They say it keeps you "regular" (oh, yippie), hydrated, and less hungry. (For me, it sends me to the bathroom often.)
I put my daily allotment in one big container (about 80-90 ounces). That helps me keep track of how much I've drunk and how much I need to drink. It also gives me a workout lugging that big container around.

Cooking Ahead of Time

Do you find it difficult to eat the right amount of food? I sure do. A couple months ago I started preparing my meals ahead of time, and that has made such a difference. After cooking the meals, I put my portion in baggies or containers and then I can take them and go. (They always look too small though.) Having these pre-made meals saves time, plus it saves me from Cafe Rio visits.
Also, just planning out my week's meals makes it easier to choose the right foods. (Thanks to Dan at Total Health and Fitness for helping me with that.)

Our family finished the summer season with a couple of fun vacations. We had a great time river rafting, relaxing, and playing in the lake. What memories!
I must say, however, that it was tough to maintain a healthy lifestyle during our vacations. Staying up late, playing games, and packing for the beach isn't an easy way to maintain--at least for me. If you have secrets to maintaining during vacations, then please share. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Today marked the first day back to school for the kids. What a crazy and hectic time! I'm glad they're back to school. Despite the fun we had during the summer, they were ready to return.
It's great to see the number of ladies participating in the Celery Stix Challenge. They inspire me to do better every time I see them. Too bad I wasn't able to see all of them today. (It was my first day back to work too, so Becky coordinated today's weigh-in. Thanks Beck!) I hope to see all of you/them soon.

The Madness of Fat Loss
June 19, 2008 I'm so excited about Celery Stix. I can't
really explain it, but it's something I feel deeply. I just want this
to work for all of us. (Of course, I want to win the prize money along
the way.) I want to help people find a new them, while still liking
themselves.
Celery Stix is a method to overcome the madness
of fat loss. It combines four things I think are important: (1)
creating the motivation, (2) providing a social support network to
maintain the motivation, (3) eating well and exercising, and (4)
tracking fat loss (and not just weight loss). Anyway, I hope you find
