Body Mass Index (BMI): A statistical measure of a person's weight scaled according to height. To compute a person's BMI, divide a person's body weight by the square of their height. Here's the formula:

NOTE: BMI is not used in the Celery Stix Challenge.
Body Fat: The amount of fat on a person's body, usually measured by percentage.
Body Fat Loss: The measurement of fat on a person's body. The Celery Stix measurements will be taken by a third-party using calipers. The caliper measurements will be taken on the arm, waist and back.
Percentage of Body Fat Change: Percentage (%) of Change is calculated by taking a person's current body fat percentage and dividing it by her starting body fat percentage, then subtracting one (1) from it. Negative changes (or changes with a minus before the number) indicate fat loss. Positive changes (or changes with a plus or nothing before the number) indicate fat gain. For example:
